Ken Jennings makes his highly anticipated return to Jeopardy! this Monday night. But before even stepping on stage, he riled up his fans about his post-work ritual involving a certain burger spot.

It all began on April 9 when the Jeopardy! star retweeted a photo of Jeopardy! contestant Mattea Roach celebrating her latest win on the show with a stop at an In-n-Out restaurant. As folks may know, the 23-year-old tutor from Nova Scotia first appeared on stage with Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik on April 5, and she’s been dominating the competition since. Following her fourth win, Mattea enjoyed a burger and fries with the knowledge that she had won more than $100,000 on the trivia show.

As it turns out, Ken also likes to do the same whenever he’s on the Jeopardy! set. “If this is the In-n-Out on Venice, I’ve been going here after @Jeopardy off and on for 18 years. Solid choice,” he wrote.

After seeing insight about his preferred burger joint, Jeopardy! fans didn’t hold back their thoughts regarding the popular California fast-food chain.

“In-n-Out has the worst french fries in the entire fast food industry, bar none. Change my view,” one person wrote. “Good burgers. Terrible fries,” another added. “You have to order them light-well,” a different fan replied. “Shouldn't have to specify that I want them non-terrible,” the original person commented. “🤷♀️ your loss,” the replier tweeted back.

While many disagreed on their fast-food preferences, others discovered that they, too, had made the same stop after their memorable Jeopardy! appearances. “Apparently this is the Jeopardy In ‘N Out because I went there after my 4-day streak ended as well. Wild!” a follower wrote.

Unsurprisingly, the Jeopardy! fandom also took this opportunity to cheer on Mattea during her run. For the past several weeks, lots of contestants have tried to reach the five-game benchmark. The Toronto resident certainly has everyone’s support behind her to do it.
