There are great Jeopardy! contestants, and then are Jeopardy! legends!

Matt Amodio, Sam Buttrey, Andrew He, James Holzhauer, Mattea Roach and Amy Schneider. These uber-champions are considered the Obi-Wan Kenobis of Jeopardy! players. They are true Jeopardy! masters.

So it seems only fitting that ABC would roll out a new series featuring these superstar players. The Alphabet Network recently announced the launch of Jeopardy Masters!, a primetime series featuring the show's most elite level players.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television and hosted by Ken Jennings, the new spinoff series will feature the six aforementioned Jeopardy! all-stars in a Champions League-style event. The winner gets the the coveted title of “Jeopardy! Masters” champion.

Executive Producer Michael Davies revealed on the Monday, Jan. 16 edition of the Inside Jeopardy! podcast that he hopes the new series will become an annual Super Bowl-style event.

What is Jeopardy! Masters?

Jeopardy! Masters, the newest show in the Jeopardy! family, will showcase the six highest-ranked current Jeopardy! contestants facing off in two 30-minute, high-stakes games per episode.

Who will host Jeopardy! Masters?

Super champ Ken Jennings, will host Jeopardy! Masters. Before becoming host and consulting producer, Jennings amassed $4,370,700 in winnings over the course of his career as a player.

Who will compete on Jeopardy! Masters?

The six all-time highest winners will go head-to-head in a Champions League-style event. They will vie for the grand prize and the title of “Jeopardy! Masters Champion." The six champs include:
