  • Jenny McCarthy is opening up about her "miserable" time on The View, and she's fully trashing Barbara Walters.

  • Jenny claims Barbara yelled, made her change outfits, and forced her to flush someone else's dirty tampon on set.

Hello, good morning, it's tea time! Jenny McCarthy is opening up about her time on The View in Ramin Setoodeh’s upcoming book, Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of The View, and HOLY SH*T she went in.

Jenny, who worked on the show from 2013-2014 says her time working with Barbara Walters was "miserable." Behold, an incredible excerpt:

"You know the movie Mommie Dearest? I remember as a child watching that movie and going, 'Holy cow!' I’ve never seen a woman yell like that before until I worked with Barbara Walters."

Jenny also said that Barbara would frequently forget who major celebrities were, and she was told by production that they couldn't "do pop culture anymore because [Walters] doesn’t know who the people are."

Oh, and she eventually was so unhappy she started crying at work. "I was going to work crying. I couldn’t be myself," she said. "My fans were telling me, 'Where’s Jenny? They aren’t letting you be you.' [...] Every day I went home and I was miserable. It really was the most miserable I’ve been on a job in my 25 years of show business."

But, wait! There's more! Jenny claims that Barbara would force her to change clothes if what she was wearing "didn't complement her outfit" and that once Barbara accused her of leaving a tampon floating in a toilet and made her clean it.

"She’s standing in the hallway where the guests are, yelling at me about a tampon," Jenny said. "I don’t know. Maybe in her brain, she went, ‘I’m going to the youngest, newest person here, because obviously she has her period and left a tampon floating.’ This is Barbara Walters. I’m not going to yell at her. So finally I said, ‘I’ll take care of it. I’ll take one for the team and I’ll flush it.'"

Eventually, Jenny would avoid Barbara on set, which brings us to this iconic quote: "When I’d hear the shuffle of her feet, I knew that Barbara was after me. It would get faster. Oh my God-she’s coming! Based on the speed of the shuffle, I would hide or get on the phone."
