Jenny McCarthy Speaks Out After Falling Over on Last Night's 'Masked Singer' Episode

Season 5 of The Masked Singer blindsided judge Jenny McCarthy in the best way possible.

After weeks of Cluedle-Doo lurking behind the shadows and playing mind games with the panelists, it was time for the mischievous rooster to take the stage and reveal his true identity. On Wednesday night’s episode, Jenny danced along as Cluedle-Doo performed British R&B singer Mark Morrison’s hit 1996 single “Return of The Mack.” While she initially doubted that the feather mask would come off, Cluedle-Doo followed through and it turned out to be none other than her husband, former New Kids on the Block band member Donnie Wahlberg.

When she found out Cluedle-Doo was Donnie, Jenny was left speechless and actually fell backwards in shock. “Oh my god!” she said on the FOX competition series. “I’m shaking.” Following the show’s closing credits, the 48-year-old TV personality teased the unexpected moment on Instagram for viewers who were just tuning in to watch The Masked Singer semifinals on the West Coast.

“Hope West coast is ready for tonight’s @maskedsingerfox I obviously wasn’t ready for it. 🤦♀️,” she captioned a screenshot of herself reacting to the reveal.

Over on Twitter, Donnie shared a photo of Jenny sitting in their living room, hiding behind dark sunglasses and a hoodie. “Mrs W aka @JennyMcCarthy is still embarrassed that she didn’t guess me — after guessing me 348 times in the four previous seasons of #TheMaskedSinger,” the 51-year-old performer wrote.

Within minutes, Jenny took to her own Twitter account to post a video, sharing her candid thoughts about how she felt after discovering the truth. “My husband still loves me even though I didn’t recognize his voice,” she said with Donnie by her side. “You sounded amazing by the way and you were awesome. I just can’t believe it. I’m so ashamed. I’m not showing my face in public for a long time.”

But fans made sure to give the radio show host some grace on social media. “We still love you! The pressure of being on the panel and having the Golden Ear got to you. 😂🤣,” one person tweeted. “It's o.k @JennyMcCarthy we all still love you. ♥️ And it just shows that Donnie is really good at being a trickster. 😂,” another added. “Bestttttttt moment EVER hands down!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” a different fan said on Instagram. “Your reaction was the best!!” a follower commented.
