Jenny McCarthy Gives Fans a Glimpse of Bedroom Makeover for Donnie Wahlberg

The TV personality surprised her husband with a bold bedroom renovation.

Jenny McCarthy beautifully executed an entire bedroom makeover from start to finish without her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, knowing.

The actress took to Instagram to share a before-and-after video of the couple's newly revamped bedroom, revealing that the project was a surprise for Wahlberg.

"Surprised the Mr with a bedroom makeover," she captioned the post.

The Masked Singer panelist showed the transformation in a sped-up video that started with a clip of construction workers tearing apart the bedroom that previously featured light gray paint and white trim.

The updated version of the space is now a bold black color with glossy trim and includes a fluted accent wall behind the cream-colored sumptuous, upholstered platform bed.

The room is perfectly accented with a fluffy rug and cozy armchairs, along with a desk in the corner that matches the nightstands on either side of the bed. McCarthy tied the renovation together with three-dimensional wall art and other framed photos throughout the room.

Wahlberg's fellow New Kids on the Block bandmate, Jonathan Knight, gave his stamp of approval in the comments, writing, "BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED!!! I love a dark room. So many people are afraid to commit to dark colors. 👏"

McCarthy, 50, and Wahlberg, 53, share a five-bedroom Tudor-style home just an hour outside Chicago in St. Charles, Illinois. The couple has been slowly renovating their home over the past seven years, and in 2019 they welcomed People into their home for a tour.

The married couple of eight years told the outlet that their home is what they had always wanted from the beginning of their relationship. "When we first met, we talked about how we both longed to have a small-town life with our kids," Wahlberg said. "We made it a goal for ourselves and said it out loud because we wanted to make it happen. And here we are, together with our kids, and we're grateful for every bit of it."

The two share a blended family, including Wahlberg's two sons from his previous relationship with Kimberly Fey–Elijah, 21, and Xavier, 29–and McCarthy's son, Evan, 20, who she shares with ex John Asher.
