2024 is shaping up to be the year of sequins and sparkles. Sequin accents are everywhere in fashion, glittery, party-ready eyeshadow is popular again, and the coolest nail trends of the year have featured some sort of chrome, glitter, or gemstone detail. What makes the glitter revival feel actually cool this time is that it's a little more low-key. Jennifer Lopez's latest manicure is the perfect example—to the naked eye, it seems like any regular white polish, but when the light of the cameras hits them, her nails turn into tiny little pearls.

On May 20, Lopez arrived in Hollywood at the premiere of her new Netflix movie, Atlas in a quintessential J.Lo look. The actor looked stunning in a two-piece black-and-white set with her hair in a princess updo. She wore her classic soft-glam beauty look, but our favorite part had to be her pearlescent white manicure.

J.Lo is no stranger to a maximalist, fun manicure, but this style felt pared-back in the best way. Her nails were filed into an almond shape, topped with white polish that had slightly grey undertones. The star of the manicure was the tiny flecks of glitter painted throughout, which transformed her nails to look like pearls in the light. Although it sounds like a coat of reflective glitter could be a bit much, J.Lo's version was super subtle, proving that shimmer polish can be chic.

For glam, Lopez stuck to the classics and wore fluttery lashes with a soft bronzed cheek and eye look, paired with a baby pink glossy lip. Although her makeup was relatively simple, her updo was anything but. Her ballerina bun was tied back in a sculptural circle that revealed her golden highlights in the prettiest way.
