  • Jennifer Lopez shared that she considered stripping early in her career.

  • She said that she was broke at the time, and the money "sounded awfully good."

By this point, it's a well-known fact that Jennifer Lopez deserves an Oscar/all of the awards for her portrayal of the stripper/criminal Ramona in Hustlers. But what's way less well-know is that Jennifer considered becoming a stripper at the beginning of her career—and wow, what a full circle that would have made!

In an interview with W Magazine, Jennifer talked about life before she was famous, when she was still figuring out how to make enough money to feed herself. She shared, "There was a moment in my life when my friends, who were also dancers, told me about making thousands of dollars at clubs in New Jersey...They said, 'You won’t need to be topless.' It sounded awfully good when I was broke and eating pizza every day, but I never did it."

Who knew! And considering J. Lo's insane pole dancing skills (see: Hustlers) and Golden Globes nomination for the film, she clearly would have made a *great* stripper.

And just in case you're one of the few people who aren't clear on how epic J.Lo's performance in Hustlers really is, know that the woman agreed to take on the role without getting paid for her acting, cause that's how much she believed in the movie. She told GQ, "I do things because I love them. I didn’t get paid a whole bunch of money for Hustlers. I did it for free and produced it. I bank on myself. That’s the Jenny From the Block. I do what I want, I do what I love."

Welp, pretty sure J.Lo couldn't get any more epic!
