If you thought Jennifer Lopez’s twins Max and Emme, 15, had a glamorous childhood, well, you were right. But it turns out, it was even more adventurous than we realized. (Who knew having a pop superstar/dancer/actress as a mom would have so many perks?!) J. Lo reflected on one part of her twins’ “amazing” childhood in a new interview, and we are in awe.

In an interview with Travel + Leisure on Monday, The Mother actress reflected on taking her twins, then 4 years old, with her on her “Dancing Again World Tour” in 2012. “It gave the kids the opportunity to see the world,” Lopez said about the experience. “The kids got to see South America, Europe, all over the United States, Asia, and all different places.”

“So they got to see all of this at a very young age and I always thought, ‘What an amazing thing to do when you’re only 4 years old,’ ” Lopez continued.

Can you imagine? Before they even start kindergarten, they’ve seen more of the world than most people have seen in their whole lives! But, of course, to them, they just thought it was normal.

“They came back from that trip saying, ‘Can we go back to Singapore next year?’” J. Lo went on. “Where someone like me, who grew up in the Bronx, never had things like that.” Same, girl!

Fame isn’t all exciting world travel and glamour, though. In an interview with Audacy earlier this year, Lopez shared that she worries about her fame affecting her kids. “I think being the child of famous parents is not something many people can understand, and I feel for [my kids] for that because they didn’t choose that…” she said, adding that her kids “have just started letting me know how people treat them.”

“So when they walk into the room, that’s what people are thinking about,” she said. “They’re not seeing them for who they are. And I think that has to be a really hard thing for them. So I would love to be able to protect them from that.”

The “On The Floor” singer shares Emme and Max with ex Marc Anthony. She is also stepmom to her husband Ben Affleck’s children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, who he shares with ex Jennifer Garner. The blended family seems to always be so supportive of each other, and Lopez is excited about spending the holidays together.

“My family [members] are big holiday people,” she told Travel + Leisure. “We love Thanksgiving and Christmas, it was always a big deal in our house and we’re going to spend it together.”

Lopez told the outlet that her Christmas traditions are actually a lot like ours — they include watching movies, cooking, eating, and playing games. “Hopefully a lot of laughs,” she added. “[And] catching up on each other’s lives because we’re all so busy.” It sounds like the perfect holiday!
