Jennifer Lopez Pulls Off Barbie Pink Everything at the American Music Awards
At the American Music Awards tonight, Jennifer Lopez sported a magenta pink look, complete with a metallic rose manicure and blush colored sapphire ring.
While neutral tones and no-makeup-makeup are seasonless staples that continue to dominate street style and red carpets alike, head-turning pops of color are making a full-blown comeback. And tonight, at the American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez made a scene-stealing entrance worthy of a living doll—as in, Barbie—in a head-to-toe bold magenta look that made the case for thinking pink.
The singer has long been a fan of fearlessly colorful beauty signatures, often pairing artful nail designs with a brightly printed leggings for high-octane workouts with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, but this evening in Los Angeles, Lopez took it one degree further for the night's event.
Sporting a floor-sweeping Georges Chakra Couture silk dress that showed off one sculpted, glowing leg by way of slit-to-there swath of fabric, the triple threat performer settled on a metallic blush-toned manicure. The finishing touch? Lopez wore a collection of pink sapphire statement rings and earrings topped by a delicate ruby ear cuff. Consider it good reason to embrace la vie en rose—and the kind of no-holds-barred swagger that comes with being a global powerhouse.
