Jennifer Lopez has become synonymous with glamorous, jaw-dropping red carpet gowns (we still audibly gasp about that iconic Versace gown at the 2000 Grammys). At every step and repeat, she unapologetically reigns supreme for her bold, statement-making looks. Her latest outing was no different, except this time, the multi-hyphenate armored up in a gladiator-chic ensemble that was a departure from her usual repertoire of tulle, mesh, and sequins.

On Tuesday, Lopez stepped out in a head-turning dress to attend ELLE's 2023 Women in Hollywood Celebration alongside her husband, Ben Affleck. For the occasion, she gave the LBD a high-fashion twist with an underboob-baring metal breastplate from Grace Ling’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. She teamed the armored breastplate with a slinky black A-line maxiskirt that had a massive midsection cut-out. A pair of strappy platform pumps peeked out from under the floor-grazing piece. Diamond drop earrings, a black Tyler Ellis clutch, and a metallic gold manicure provided the finishing touches to her futuristic look.

Lopez styled her caramel hair into a slicked-back tight bun and complimented her bronzy contour with feathered lashes, a dramatic smoky eye, and a very glossy pout.

As for her plus one for the evening, Ben sported a black velvet double-breasted suit jacket with coordinating slacks and a skinny black tie while packing on some major PDA with his wife on the black carpet.

During her new interview with Elle for the 2023 Women in Hollywood issue, Lopez opens up about the misconception that women can’t be sexy over a certain age.

“People have realized that women just get sexier as they get older. They get more learned and richer with character," she told the publication. "All of that is very beautiful and attractive, and not just physically, but on the inside, the beauty that you gain as you get older, the wisdom you gain.”
