Jennifer Lopez's Latest Look Is Almost More Cutouts Than Clothes

She's in Billboard wearing LaQuan Smith.

While most of us (read: me) are struggling to so much as put on a bra for a Zoom call, Jennifer Lopez is not only getting head-to-toe dressed (shoes and everything!), she’s doing so in clothes that do not look particularly comfortable. Give us luxury sweats every day of quarantine, please.

For what appeared to be a West Hollywood date night, Jenny From the Block coordinated in a bright (almost neon) pink sweater, a matching Versace belt, a black crocodile pencil skirt, a matching crocodile Hermès Birkin bag, pink and lucite snakeskin print pumps from her very own DSW line ($70; dsw.com), gold hoops, and (of course!) a black evolvetogether face mask.

Clearly, Lopez has been staying busy. Recently, the multi-hyphenate and her former-agent-turned-producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, discussed Lopez’s long career for Variety’s Power of Women issue.

“When I started in the industry, I remember we talked about that I would always go in for what they would call the maid, the dishwasher,” Lopez said of her early days as an actress. “I was like, 'I don’t want to do that.' I had to kind of break out of that, and convince somebody to put me in the first romantic comedy, which was The Wedding Planner.”

“You were my agent, and you were asking for a certain price that you thought I merited, and they were buckling back,” the Hustlers star said of negotiations for the 2001 romantic comedy. “Then [director Adam Shankman] came to one of my record signings, and he said, ‘Give her whatever she wants.’ The line was around the block.”

Considering the film made nearly $95 million at the box office worldwide and remains a rom-com classic to this day, we’d say this was the very best call.
