Jennifer Lopez has been popping up on our feeds a lot lately, courtesy of her short film, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story. But let’s face it, she’s never really out of sight, always keeping us updated on her personal and professional life.

One thing’s for sure: Ben Affleck’s better half has always been synonymous with a toned and sculpted physique. At 54 years old (or, shall we say, young?), the singer and actress still shares workout selfies and is a regular at the gym. Curious about her fitness routine? We’ve broken down some of her go-to workouts, which she and her trainers have shared with fans over the years. They range from full-body workouts to dancing with her trainer.

Jennifer Lopez’s go-to fitness routine

In March, the mom of two joined forces with Aim’n Sportswear, treating us to a video of her rocking a chic pink workout set while sweating it out.

With just a mat and a few dumbbells, she demonstrated eight exercises targeting arms, legs, and core, giving us a complete full-body workout routine.

The video didn’t mention the number of repetitions or sets for each of J.Lo’s workouts, but fitness expert Stephanie Mansour told TODAY, “This is a great full-body workout set up like a circuit. I’d recommend doing 10 reps of each exercise (starting with 10 world’s greatest stretches, so five to each side!) and then repeating the circuit for a total of 3 times.”

One of her personal trainers, Dodd Romero, said to Oprah Daily, “She trains for roughly an hour, four to five times a week, focusing on different body parts each time.”

Another one of her trainers, David Kirch, has shared videos of the star engaging in exercises like medicine ball sit-ups for core strength and platypus walks to sculpt her iconic gluteal.

J.Lo is also known for the hourglass figure she has maintained over the years, and a lot of it is thanks to the platypus walk. Speaking to Insider, Kirsch said: “The quickest, most effective workout for your [gluteal] is the platypus walk.” Noted!

It’s important to remember that she is also a dancer, which has significantly helped her stay active. “Dance has always been a huge part of my life, and taking the time to move my body and do something that’s so good for me is key to my happiness,” she told HELLO! back in 2016.

Back in October of 2023, the J.Lo Beauty mogul took the stage to present her dear friend, celebrity personal trainer Tracy Anderson, with the Outstanding Achievement in Fitness Award. Anderson has also helped J.Lo with her fit figure; as the singer said to People, “It’s no secret that I love dancing, so it doesn’t even feel like exercise to me. I freestyle dance with [personal trainer] Tracy five times a week. We’ll incorporate light weights (3 lbs/ 1.4 kgs) for the arms and moves that focus on the butt and thighs and engage the core.”

While most of us don’t have the luxury of having multiple personal trainers like J.Lo, her diverse range of go-to workouts can be easily replicated at home, helping us shape up as summer approaches. Just keep in mind that consistency, diet, lifestyle, stress management, and, of course, regular exercise are all key ingredients for success.
