A new Jennifer Lopez ’fit just popped up on my feed, and I’m fully swooning — it’s about to be my new spring style blueprint.

The Hustlers actress, 54, recently stepped out in New York City in the foolproof outfit combination that I immediately bookmarked for future inspo: It included comfy leggings that looked more brown than black, a pair of chunky white sneakers, which she’s really making the case for this spring, and a trench coat, which has become the unofficial winter-to-spring “it” jacket.

While I’ve definitely done the T-shirt and leggings pairing before (why mess with comfort?), sometimes I want my daily uniforms to look a little more thoughtfully curated. And in J.Lo’s case, the oversized jacket and sneakers were the key difference in making her clothes look more high-fashion, rather than a set of grubby couch clothes. Overall, it was high-key relatable, since anyone can easily throw on a jazzy coat and some snazzy sneakers for a fancified loungewear look.

On a practical note, a trench coat is so functional for spring. With hazy days and random drizzles, it’ll keep my outfits dry and give model off-duty vibes. Plus, this one from Gap has almost overly dramatic collars that would look more refined on top of a graphic hoodie, and it can also be worn with or without the figure-flattering belt.

As for sneakers, J.Lo’s are likely a designer pair, but since it's the chunk that makes her stand out, I’ve found a $45 pair that achieves the same look. These have a 3.5-inch platform, so I can do without having to opt for a literal pair of heels or espadrilles wedges. They’re a comfy alternative and likely going to be much easier to walk in.

The last piece of this look is something most of us probably already own, but in my opinion, it’s something I can never have enough of: leggings. This Amazon pair is a highly loved style that’s racked up more than 29,000 five-star ratings and comes in a bunch of colors, including a brown option that looks like J.Lo’s. For warmer days, there’s also a shorter style — there’s not many sizes left in brown — that cuts off at the calf for even more breathability.
