Jennifer Lopez Brought Back Her Maid in Manhattan Hair for the 2020 Golden Globes

We may only be five days into 2020, but Jennifer Lopez's Golden Globes hair proves that nostalgic styles aren't going anywhere — even as we move into a new decade.

The star's larger-than-life braided bun was created by her go-to hairstylist Chris Appleton, who used Dyson's Supersonic hair dryer Professional edition to prep Lopez's hair for the special night. Then he used products from the Color Wow line for styling, including: Dream Coat Supernatural Spray, Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray, and the Pop & Lock High Gloss Shellac.

Appleton exclusively shares with InStyle that the look was inspired by iconic film star Grace Kelly. "But the braid made it more modern," he says."[It] gives a queen of the night vibe." However, if you remember Lopez's films from the early aughts, then you probably noticed that it could also be an ode to her signature style from 2002's Maid in Manhattan.

Tonight, J.Lo is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in the box office hit Hustlers, where she starred alongside Constance Wu and Keke Palmer.

Fingers crossed she'll take home the prize later this evening. But either way, it's clear Lopez has already won the red carpet by having one of the most gorgeous hairstyles of the night.
