Volumized blowouts, razor-sharp bob cuts and slicked high knots are just a few of the bombshell beauty tricks Jennifer Lopez has showcased lately. But last night in New York City, she relied on a tried and true hair style from her past—one that she often called upon during the early aughts.
For a night with beau Alex Rodriguez and a few SNL cast members, Lopez (who will be hosting the show this Saturday), slipped on a cozy plaid knit and let her hair fall down her curves. But unlike her recent above the neck styles, which have included a spritz of texturizing spray, last night's look was finished off with a searing hot flatiron, recalling the pin-straight strands from her iconic 1999 music video for “If You Had My Love.”
And she’s not the only one thinking sleek: late last month, Kacey Musgraves opted for a similarly styled strands that fell to her waist for an appearance in Manhattan—proof that everything old is always new again.
