Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, & Jennifer Garner Seem to Prove Insiders Right During Latest Blended Family Outing

It’s been nine years since Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck separated — and 2 and a half years since he got back together with his now-wife Jennifer Lopez — and it seems like the two have perfected their co-parenting strategy. The exes came together with J. Lo for a school event, and it proves everything insiders have been saying about the blended family is right.

Page Six has photos of the Argo star, The Mother star, and The Last Thing He Told Me star walking out of a school together after attending one of the kids’ musicals. In photos, Garner is dressed in jeans and a gray sweater as she walks with her and Affleck’s son Samuel, 11, and their daughter Seraphina, 14. (Garner and Affleck’s daughter Violet, 18, was not pictured.) Meanwhile, Ben and Jen trailed behind, also dressed casually in khakis and a button-down shirt over a t-shirt for Affleck and white jeans and a white long-sleeve t-shirt for the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer. They are walking next to Lopez’s child Emme, 15, who she shares with ex Marc Anthony. (The two also share 15-year-old Max, not pictured.)

This blended family went to a musical together, left looking laid-back and relaxed, and even wore coordinating outfits — unlike the last time they went to a musical together! — which just goes to show this blended family is happier than ever.

What Insiders Are Saying

A source told Entertainment Tonight in June 2023, that J. Lo and Garner are communicating well. They said the two moms “are very cordial and they have a very healthy and functioning relationship,” adding that the kids are “learning and growing together as a new, extended family.”

Garner and Affleck are also reportedly doing well, with the insider telling ET that the exes “are healthy in terms of coparenting” and that “they have open communication and both are working to make this transition the best it could possibly be.”

Of course, it makes complete sense that these three would get along so well together, since they all seem to prioritize their kids. Like a source told Us Weekly in Nov. 2023, “Their children [are] the focus of those relationships.”

And if you want a healthy relationship with your kids, it would behoove you to be kind and cordial to your children’s other parent (and their significant other). This trio is the perfect example!
