  • Jennifer Lopez will star in a new romantic comedy, likely opposite Owen Wilson.

  • Marry Me, which is adapted from a graphic novel, stars Lopez as a pop star who ditches her unfaithful fiancé to marry a stranger at the last minute.

  • Lopez and Wilson previously co-starred in 1997's Anaconda.

Jennifer Lopez just signed onto a new rom-com, and if you've ever casually daydreamed about being plucked out of the crowd at a concert by your fave, you're gonna want to mark your calendar.

Per Variety, Lopez will play a pop star in the upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me, which is based on a graphic novel. Moments before marrying her rockstar fiancé onstage at New York's Madison Square Garden, she discovers that he's cheating on her with her assistant and has a very public (yet understandable) meltdown. Then, she picks a man at random out of the crowd to marry instead, and rom-com hijinks ensue! According to a statement from the chairman of production company STXfilms, this role was "quite literally made for" Lopez.

Owen Wilson is in final negotiations to play the lucky fan-turned-new-fiancé, and assuming he does sign on, this will mark the first time he and J.Lo have worked together in more than twenty years. They last co-starred in 1997's action-horror movie Anaconda, playing two members of a documentary crew who end up captured by a snake hunter in the Amazon rainforest. Without spoiling the ending of that 22-year-old movie, let's just say things will hopefully go a lot better for Lopez and Wilson's characters in Marry Me!

The movie isn't due to start shooting until fall, but in the meantime Lopez has stripper comedy Hustlers hitting theaters next.
