Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Are Engaged and Her Ring Is Massive
She might still be Jenny from the block, but she has a new engagement ring to rock. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are officially engaged. Pop the champagne! Get the confetti! It's time to fawn over Jennifer Lopez's massive engagement ring.
And you thought Mariah Carey's last engagement ring was huge — Jennifer Lopez is certainly giving Mimi a run for her money with the huge sparkler that's now sitting pretty on her finger. A-Rod announced his and J.Lo's new relationship status himself, taking to social media to post a photo of the engagement ring he just gifted the singer. “She said yes,” he captioned the image, featuring an emerald-cut diamond ring and his love's perfectly manicured hand (you totally knew it was coming, J.Lo). Honestly, we're surprised that he managed to fit the whole ring in the photo. It's that big. Like, potentially 11 to 15 carats big and valued at $5 million, according to experts quoted by People. (It's worth noting that other experts approximate the ring's value at $1 million to $5 million.)
Just. 👏Look. 👏At. 👏That. 👏Thing.
Rodriguez also took to his Instagram Story to share sentiments about soulmates before making the big engagement announcement. "A soulmate isn't someone who completes you," read one image, according to Entertainment Tonight. "No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be."
A-Rod's soulmate, Lopez, soon followed suit, sharing the same ring photo on her own Instagram grid, captioned simply with a series of hearts.
The couple was previously sharing moments from their beach vacation, which could be the presumed setting for the proposal. "#beachbums," Lopez captioned a photo of herself and A-Rod from their vacay just yesterday. Excuse us while we start planning a beach wedding for this newly engaged couple.
This is the fifth engagement for Lopez and will be A-Rod's second marriage. (We hear the sixth — and second — time's the charm.)
