Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Are Engaged — See Her Massive Ring!
Congratulations are in order for J-Rod! Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced on Saturday, March 9, that they’re engaged after more than two years of dating.
Both stars posted the same photo of the former athlete holding J.Lo’s hand, which is now adorned with a massive diamond engagement ring. Lopez captioned the picture with a series of heart emojis, while Rodriguez wrote simply, “She said yes.”
According to People, Rodriguez proposed during the couple’s vacation to the Bahamas. Both stars have been posting snaps from the trip on social media in recent days.
Last month, the pair celebrated their two-year anniversary. They commemorated the occasion with sweet notes to each other on Instagram. “Two years of laughter. Two years of fun. Two years of adventures, of excitement, of growing and learning, of true friendship,” Lopez wrote in her post. “And so much love!! You make my world a more beautiful safe and stable place… in the midst of our ever-changing, ever-moving life… you make me feel like a teenager starting out all over again… Every time I think I have you pegged, you surprise me in the most wonderful ways, reminding me how blessed I am to have found you now in this moment at this time… our time…”
Rodriguez, meanwhile, wrote: “I can’t believe it’s been two years. Only 730 days, which have flown by, but it feels like we have been together forever. We are meant to be, and how much you mean to me cannot be put into words. From baseball games, to traveling across the world to shows in Vegas. We have done it all together and every moment with you is cherished. Where this road will take us next is unknown but there is no one else I would rather have by my side. The journey is just beginning and I am excited for what’s ahead.”
He went on to praise her hard work and “relentless” drive and determination. “Like you there is none other. Words will never do justice to what the last two years have meant to me,” he concluded. “Thank you for always being you, for your unwavering support and unconditional love.”
The couple were first linked back in 2017. Last summer, after they had been together for a little over a year, Lopez said she wanted to take her time with Rodriguez and do things at their own pace. “Between our kids and our work and all of the wonderful things going on, [we’re] having the best time,” she told Good Morning America in June. “We’re truly blessed.”
