Thanks to a surprising print and fluttery lashes.

Jennifer Lawrence basically out Barbied Barbie herself at the 2024 Oscars. The Oscar winner looked like she stepped right out of a late-1950s Dreamhouse in a strapless black and white polka-dotted Dior gown and matching stole that would have been right at home during Margot Robbie's now-iconic Barbie press tour.

Lawrence, who won an Oscar in 2013 for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, once again donned Dior for the Academy Awards. (She's an ambassador for the French fashion house, so that tracks.) Over a decade later, she ditched the baby pink dress in favor of a classic strapless ballgown with a structured bodice and full skirt in a cheery, vintage-y dotted print, plus a matching long stole draped over her shoulders. A diamond tennis necklace and matching bracelet were her only jewels; despite the fact that her hair was tucked behind her ears, the actor skipped earrings—a touch that felt very modern and in line with her recent "quiet luxury" minimalist aesthetic.

Instead of opting for an equally vintage-inspired hairstyle, Lawrence kept the look firmly in 2024 with loose, easygoing blonde hair styled in laid-back bends, bronzed skin, and delicate shell pink lips. Her eye makeup, however, would've been right at home in 1959; her lids were lightly contoured with a taupe shadow on the crease, anchored by a thick strip of black liner on the lashline.

Makeup artist Hung Vanngo used all Dior Beauty to create the look. After prepping her skin with the Capture Totale Le Sèrum ($125), Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream ($80), and Capture Totale Firming & Wrinkle Correcting Cream ($135), Vanngo applied the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation ($57). Her sunny glow was courtesy of the Forever Natural Bronze ($50) in Tan Bronze, and the new Forever Glow Maximizer ($45) in Peachy. For that gorgeous liner he used the 24Hr Stylo ($34) in Matte Black, and Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara ($33) for her doll-like lashes. Vanngo finished off the look by lining with the Rouge Dior Contour ($35) in Chérie, and added a slick of Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil ($40) in Pink.

Margot Robbie may have done a complete 180 from her Barbie-centric 'fits for the Oscars in sleek Versace and messy waves, but honestly, we can't even be mad when J. Law shows up looking this chic. If they ever make a Barbie sequel, maybe she can pop by Barbie Land for a quick cameo—in this dress, obviously.
