  • Jennifer Lawrence recalled telling Robert De Niro to "go home" at her wedding rehearsal dinner.

  • Apparently, she was worried that he wasn't having any fun because he didn't know anybody and was “wandering around.”

  • "He was nice—he like talked to my parents and was polite—but I was like, ‘Go,’” Jennifer recalled.

In a truly Mad Libs-esque scenario, Jennifer Lawrence asked Robert De Niro to leave the rehearsal dinner for her October 2019 nuptials to Cooke Maroney because she felt the fellow actor didn't want to be there. Idk about you, but my general vibe after reading that info is:

The Hunger Games star opened up about the low-key relatable moment—which we'll get into!—in a January 7 interview with E! News, during which the celeb recalled the “awful” experience of being a bride due to the transparent amount of stress she endured ahead of her wedding.

“It’s so stressful,” J.Law began before explaining, “You’re not having fun. You’re just like, ‘Is that person having fun?’”

Tbh, you, too, would probs feel the same way with the transparent amount of A-listers who attended the event, which included the likes of Adele, Ashley Olsen, Kris Jenner, and Emma Stone. However, it was one celeb in particular Jennifer was concerned about: Robert De Niro, with whom she's teamed up a bunch of times, including for 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook, 2013’s American Hustle, and 2015’s Joy.

During her convo with the outlet, the Up star recalled one particular moment at her rehearsal dinner in which she spotted the actor “wandering around.” “I looked over and I saw Bob, who doesn’t know anybody and he’s kind of wandering around, and I immediately was like, ‘No, this isn’t what he wants to be doing. I don’t want him here,’” she began before adding, “So I went over and whispered, I was like, ‘Go home’ and he was nice—he like talked to my parents and was polite—but I was like, ‘Go.’”

Ultimately, the legendary actor followed J.Law's instructions, which the actor confessed, “genuinely made me feel better.”

JFYI, Jennifer and her husband have been married for a little over four years now. Engagement rumors first began swirling circa February 2019 when the actor was spotted out and about with a ring on *that* finger, and not long after, her rep confirmed the happy news.

Then, in October 2019, the couple said their “I dos” at the Belcourt of Newport—a truly gorgeous mansion in Rhode Island that I may or may not have currently saved on my Pinterest board ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
