The actress regrets not listening to her.

Jennifer Lawrence opened up about one film in particular that she was not very proud of.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, the actress revealed that Adele, 34, warned Lawrence, 32, against starring in the film, and it looks like the singers advice was right, as the film left her rethinking her choices.

And which film was that, you ask? “Passengers, I guess,” Lawrence said. “Adele told me not to do it! She was like, ‘I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.’ I should have listened to her.”

Passengers follows the relationship of two characters, Lawrence and Chris Pratt, who were in hibernation aboard a spacecraft, traveling to a colony 60 light-years away from earth when they were mistakenly woken up 90 years too early.

Lawrence has previously opened up to Vanity Fair about saying yes to anything she was handed during the early days of her career. “I think that I was people-pleasing for the majority of my life," she said.

"Working made me feel like nobody could be mad at me: ‘Okay, I said yes, we’re doing it. Nobody’s mad.’ And then I felt like I reached a point where people were not pleased just by my existence. So that kind of shook me out of thinking that work or your career can bring any kind of peace to your soul.”

After her last film, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Lawrence took a break from acting. After two years, the actress returned in 2021 with the Netflix satire, Don't Look Up

Lawrence is still hard at work with her next film; Causeway will hit Apple TV+ on Nov. 4.
