Jennifer Lawrence’s Facialist Launches a Genius Skincare Tool

“There are so many girls out there that would rather invest in their skin than a handbag,” says celebrity facialist Georgia Louise—and she would know: Her signature treatments, beloved by everyone from Cate Blanchett and Jennifer Lawrence to Gucci Westman (a longtime client who’s about to launch a makeup line that emphasizes bare skin), can ring in at four digits. Those in search of a more democratically priced complexion solution, though, need not despair: Tomorrow, Louise will unveil the GloPulse, her new electrical device that “enables women to experience the [post-facial] glow at home” for a cool $165.

Used in conjunction with one of three specially formulated ionizable sheet masks (Tea Tree for treating blemishes; Honey, an anti-aging blend of its namesake ingredient and vitamin E; and Aqua, which contains plumping hyaluronic acid), the device, equipped with two electrode plates that rest on the cheeks, relies on a galvanic current: “It’s by far the best way to gently, effectively penetrate all the [masks’] key actives into the skin,” says Louise who has incorporated the technology into her bespoke facials for more than 20 years.

Unlike the cumbersome machine though that occupies real estate in her Upper East Side atelier, the GloPulse is made for life on the go thanks to its clever headband-like design: “It’s great because I always multitask . . . I’m running around, I’m looking after my children, I’m walking the dog,” says Louise, who recommends using it up to three times a week. And while the device is as straightforward as they come (simply press the power button and 20 minutes later it will automatically turn off), she nevertheless has one pro tip: “Try not to wear makeup for at least an hour so that the essence can settle into the skin,” she says. Although with a glow this good, chances are you won’t need to.
