Jennifer Lawrence has an Amazon wedding registry because mama needs a copper fondue set
In February 2019, the most relatable star in Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence, confirmed her engagement to art dealer Cooke Maroney. And because she’s a Hollywood star, it seems obvious that Lawrence’s wedding would be like many other celebrity weddings—a bit more luxe, lavish, and expensive than the average affair. However, Lawrence recently created an Amazon wedding registry, which makes us think that perhaps her relatability has maybe gone too far.
Does J.Law really need one of her wedding guests to buy her a $32 marble serving board? Or a set of $19 cotton napkins?
Um…girl was in The Hunger Games. We don’t think so. But before we all jump down Lawrence’s throat, it’s necessary to point out that her Amazon registry isn’t really her Amazon registry. Rather, it’s a registry guide for other brides to draw inspiration from for their own Amazon wedding registry. So if you show up to J.Law’s wedding bearing a 4-in-1 travel plug adaptor as a gift, that’s on you, celebrity boo boo. However, we can’t help but think that’s some ish Amy Schumer would pull just to be funny.

“Planning a wedding is so exciting, but it can be overwhelming,” a statement from Lawrence reads, per her registry page. “For anyone else needing a little inspiration, I thought it would be fun to collaborate with Amazon to share a few of my favorite registry wish-list items.”
Although that reads as though Lawrence does in fact have a wedding registry wish-list, reps clarified on September 24th that this whole shtick is, in fact, an inspiration guide, and even has charitable ties.
“I am also partnering with Amazon Conservation, which unites science, innovation, and community to protect the Amazon rainforest, which greatly needs our help right now,” Lawrence added at the bottom of her registry guide. “I am happy to make a donation to the Amazon Conservation as part of this collaboration.”
Okay, okay. Jennifer Lawrence isn’t coming for our coins after all. In fact, this is a pretty cool idea. Whether there’s a wedding in your future or not, take a scroll through Lawrence’s Amazon wish-list items and just try not to add more than a few to your cart.
