Jennifer Lawrence Adds Edge With 2 Easy Pieces
Tonight Jennifer Lawrence will don a fancy frock for Red Sparrow’s New York City premiere, but earlier today, the Academy Award–winning actress put her tailored, off-duty wardrobe on display. Lawrence has often gravitated toward menswear-inspired silhouettes for her press junkets, most recently off-setting girlish minidresses or skirts with oversize blazers from Alexander Wang and Ralph Lauren. For today’s outing, Lawrence eschewed the jacket but kept things equally streamlined with a midnight double-breasted topper, then offset the posh image with edgy accessories from Chloé and Christian Dior.
Lawrence kept things simple with her blue, black, and blush palette. A light pink top and dark velvet skirt were strong underpinnings and let her accessories shine. Her Dior Lady Bag coordinated perfectly with pink studs that complemented her top. Chloé multi-strap boots grounded the look as a feminine twist on ’60s Beatle boots, while round-lens sunnies completed her ladylike take on John Lennon’s style.
