Jennifer Hudson Praises 'Beautiful Man' Common Amid Romance Rumors

Jennifer Hudson is clearing the air regarding her relationship status.
When asked to comment on whether she’s in a relationship with Common, Hudson denied the rumored romantic connection but not without first flattering the 51-year-old rapper.
"Rumors say a lot of things," Hudson, 41, told TMZ on Tuesday, Aug. 1. "But he’s a beautiful man, I will give you that. That’s for certain."
But when reporters asked if the two had vacationed together recently, her lips were tightly sealed: "I didn’t know about that part," the Respect actress joked.
This isn't the first time Hudson has had to address the dating rumors. Last summer, the two were spotted enjoying a meal together in Philadelphia. However, the American Idol alum said it wasn't a date night and that the two were working together at the time, filming for the thriller Breathe, which did shoot in the state of Pennsylvania.
This past September, she told Entertainment Tonight that instead, "People create their narratives of it."
"We shot a film together and he played my husband," she explained. "We gotta eat in between those moments."

And in this latest interview, The Jennifer Hudson Show namesake discussed the possibility of the two working together again, this time on a song or album, being as they're both Grammy winners.
"It would be dope to see two Chicagoans together, but I don’t know about that," she said. "It could be [awesome], you’re right about that."
Hudson was previously engaged to actor David Otunga–with whom she shares a 13-year-old son David Jr.–before the two called it quits in November 2017.
Common, born Lonnie Rashid Lynnhas, was most recently tied to Tiffany Haddish before the two split in Nov. 2021 after a year of dating. Before that, he was linked to Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson and Serena Williams.
