Jennifer Hudson is officially following in the steps of fellow American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson with her daytime talk show.

In June, the Dreamgirls actress announced her next TV venture, The Jennifer Hudson Show. Since then, the anticipation has been building up amongst American Idol fans who’ve caught glimpses of her new show. Now, with about one month to go until the premiere on September 12, Jennifer is sharing her goals for the show. Set to her R&B ballad “Remember Me,” she shared a heartfelt message from behind the scenes in an Instagram video.

“This is the first day of my show! I’m still getting used to saying that,” Jennifer spilled in the clip posted on August 11. “I hope my fans experience a good time, I hope they discover their superpower, and I hope they feel on top of the world by the time they leave The Jennifer Hudson Show. Let’s go live life, baby.”

Wait a minute that’s my birthday !!!” she captioned an Instagram snippet breaking the exciting news.
