Recreate her outfit with sweaters, jeans, and colorful sneakers

Welcome to The Blueprint, where we break down the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and build them back up, piece by piece.

When I go for a walk, my hair is usually up in a messy ponytail, and I have on some comfy pants and a mismatched baggy sweatshirt. But I just saw Jennifer Garner, and now I’m rethinking all my outfit decisions — I should probably take some tips from her fashion blueprint.

The 13 Going on 30 actress stepped out with her boyfriend John Miller this week, and she looked way more put together than I ever have while taking in some fresh air: She wore a more colorful version of one of her go-to basics (a striped sweater) and some roomy jeans to match with Miller. She also laced up some sneakers that had little green accents to go with her sweater.

While I’m not suggesting you need to wear this while getting your endorphins in, I am hinting that you wear it, period. It’s a throw-and-go combo that consists of multiple celeb-favorite items — relaxed jeans and sneakers with color-popping accents.

Zesica Oversized Striped Pullover Sweater

I’m a little starry-eyed over this Zesica sweater. It’s got spring-appropriate green stripes and a similar scooped neckline going for it. Plus, it looks cozy, but not toasty, which is a good criterion to follow when the temperatures climb during the day and then drop at night. One shopper described it as “stretchy and breathable,” which sounds like the best mix. (For days when I want something more plain, I’m leaning toward this solid gray option.)

Sidefeel High-Waisted Wide-Leg Jeans

It’s hard to get an exact read on the fit of Garner’s jeans, but I’m thinking they’re either a slimmer-fitting wide-leg style or a roomy pair of straight-leg jeans. Either way, I’ve been a stan of both for years, since they’re not form-fitting around the thighs, which is a recipe for chafing and discomfort. This cropped Sidefeel pair comes in sizes 4 to 18 and will help keep you cool on hot days.

Somiliss Lace-Up Tennis Shoes

Garner’s sneakers look like an expensive designer pair that I’ve seen before — but now I know I can get similar kicks for a lot less. These Somiliss shoes also have bits of green to break up the neutral white and taupe tones and come in under $100, even with the price variations. They’re “unbelievably comfortable,” according to one shopper, who didn’t get any blisters or achy arches while wearing them.

Jennifer Garner is living her most fashionable life, and it’s fairly simple to do the same. Keep scrolling to shop more sweaters, jeans, and colorful shoes inspired by the star.
