Halloween may already be here, but we just learned the *best* pumpkin-carving hack from Jennifer Garner. (And you need to see it, because we know you've been putting off that jack-o'-lantern.)

The 51-year-old star tried this hack that's been circulating around TikTok since last fall, where pumpkin carvers use a hand mixer (!!!) to break up the pulp as an easier way to clean out the seasonal gourd.

“Trying the hand mixer hack,” Garner wrote over her video as she tested out the method for herself.

However, Garner didn't keep us in suspense, because her caption revealed that the trick worked wonderfully: “Spoiler alert: the hand mixer hack works! [jack-o-lantern emoji].”

In the video, we watch as Garner cuts into a pumpkin (which she pulls from her Once Upon a Garden) and she swishes the mixer around inside, showing a pleasantly surprised face as she scoops out the insides. “Seeds: easy to remove!” Garner wrote.

The 13 Going on 30 actress got the hack from the @brunchwithbabs TikTok account, which she tagged in her caption.

In the inspo video from Barbara Costello, she offers a bunch of helpful tips for pumpkin carving in the caption. “1. Carve from bottom. That way you have the stem to hold onto and you can easily slip the pumpkin right over a candle or flashlight. 2. Hold pumpkin in your lap to carve. You will have a much steadier pumpkin to cut. 3. Use a red dry erase marker to sketch your design. It erases easily and if you miss a spot, it blends in. 4. Use a hand mixer to clean out your pumpkin. 5. Use cookie cutters and a rubber mallet to carve your design. 6. Cover all cut surfaces with Vaseline to keep the pumpkin moist after carving. Pumpkins should last 1-2 weeks carved! 7. Sprinkle some cinnamon on the inside top of your pumpkin for festive pumpkin spice smell when a candle is lit inside the pumpkin.”

The video, which has over 4 million likes, seemingly worked for plenty of viewers. One user commented, “My God, Babs, you NEVER fail to impress and teach me something new and inspiring.” Another wrote, “Amazing.”

While Garner impressed us with her jack-o-lantern-making, the Adam Project actress also got into the Halloween spirit with some seriously spooky outfits, which she displayed in a follow-up Instagram video.

“Boo,” Garner wrote in her caption, as Britney Spears and Madonna's “Me Against the Music” played in the background of the clip.
