Jennifer Garner had a secret Oscars wardrobe malfunction

Getting ready for the Oscars is a lot more than just hair and makeup. As Jennifer Garner revealed to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Wednesday night, it can involve everything from bodysuits to organ rearranging. Unsurprisingly, this amount of construction can sometimes go wrong, and Jennifer confessed that during this year’s Oscars, she had a total wardrobe emergency.

“We’re sitting there and suddenly my ribs started to panic,” she explained. “I had a panic attack in my ribs.” So she and her friend, who always comes with her to these events, snuck out to the bathroom to see if they could figure out the problem. Unfortunately, that meant getting a little more friendly than either of them had planned.

“The connection of the bodysuit, because it had a hook and eye situation, was in an intimate position,” she said delicately. “So I couldn’t reach it. So I said to my friend, ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen but I think you gotta get this.'”

In vague terms, Jennifer assured Jimmy that it all worked out and she didn’t end up in the ER on Oscars night. While we’re jealous of Jennifer for so many things, she can go ahead and keep that dress. We’re good.
