Country super star Brad Paisley is perhaps best known for his lighthearted lyrics and catchy melodies. Now, the 50-year-old has released new music, and it makes a powerful statement. The proud West Virginia native shared videos from Son Of The Mountains: The First Four Tracks on Instagram, and his fellow West Virginian, Jennifer Garner, praised his work.

Brad released four songs, "Son Of the Mountains, "The Medicine Will," "Same Here" and "So Many Summers." The full album will be released in early 2024. According to Brad's website, "Son Of The Mountains" and "The Medicine Will" are "representations of the Appalachian region including Brad’s home state of West Virginia, reflections of the beautiful and the painful."

"Son Of The Mountains" shines a light on the beautiful scenery of the state, and "The Medicine Will" focuses on the opioid epidemic. His website explains, "The videos were was shot in black and white and in the depths of a coal mine featuring real life-stories of addicts, survivors and first responders."
