Jennifer Garner Just Wore the TikTok Teen Trend That Was Popular When She Was a Teen, Too

Jennifer Garner's most recent look has extreme Rich Mom Energy. Or at least that of a Rich Mom who has been watching a lot of TikTok.
Garner stepped out in her standard athleisure: a pair of leggings, a simple t-shirt, a sweater swung over her shoulders, and her go-to running sneakers by Brooks. But she made one small addition that took this outfit to Gen Z-approved territory: She added a pair of leg warmers.
In yet another instance of the youthful generation taking a piece of fashion history and running with it, leg warmers have taken a certain corner of TikTok by storm. Like wired headphones and crisscross jeans, the 1980s fad now belongs to Gen Z, who's often wearing them with Doc Martens; if Garner wore them in her own youth, she probably paired them with leggings.
Part of their popularity probably has to do with their price, as leg warmers are extremely affordable — you can buy a pair for as little as $9 on Amazon. Another pratical reason they're blowing up right now? The weather, obviously. As the colder temperatures approach, they'll start to feel less like an accessory and more like a necessity.
Not to mention, leg warmers are just as appropriate to wear around the house after you got out of bed as they are for an errand run. Let's be real, that's probably what Garner is doing in them.
