  • Her trainer, dancer Beth Nicely, says she thinks of Jennifer as a "professional athlete in what she's capable of physically."

  • Jennifer's workouts include cardio, strength training, plyometrics, and more.

National treasure Jennifer Garner "can't wait" to turn 50 this year, per People, and she looks absolutely amazing. But (in addition to probably being #blessed with awesome genes) Jennifer's made it pretty clear that she works hard to be so fit and healthy.

Jennifer has worked with trainer Beth Nicely for years. In addition to being an NASM-certified trainer, Nicely is a dancer, Broadway performer, marathon runner, and certified pre- and postnatal and corrective exercise specialist. She's also the founder of The Limit, a virtual fitness program, and used to be a Radio City Rockette, according to The Thirty.

Nicely puts her background to good use when she's training Jennifer. The pair's shared love of dance makes them a truly dynamic duo in the gym. Jen "likes to work really hard, she's very, very strong" and she's a "great dancer," Nicely told Shape.

"I consider her a professional athlete in what she's capable of physically. We both love to dance, we both love to work hard, I think it's a good combination," she added.

Nicely also told Shape that a typical workout for Jennifer consists of a solid warm-up followed by some heart-pumping cardio dances.

"We might do two to four dances and then I'll usually take her through a plyometric box series," she added. Jennifer's been showing off her killer box jumps on Instagram, and TBH, I'm tired just watching them:

Nicely said after that, "we might take the heart rate down and pick up some weights to do some strength training. And then I'll get her back to the boxes and we'll do a plyometric series with one of those bigger plyometric boxes."

Nicely and Jennifer also love "The Circuit," a challenge created by the trainer to push Jennifer to her limit. It's three exercises:

  • Eight box jumps

  • 40 jump rope reps

  • 16 leaps over a mini-trampoline while holding a 10-pound medicine ball

Jennifer does five rounds of the entire circuit—usually in just a few minutes. "My goal with everyone is to get through five rounds in under three minutes," Nicely says, which apparently Jen has done "multiple times," per Shape.

Nicely warns, "Jen's dance background might make the moves look easy, but these circuits are advanced and she is very strong." I, for one, totally believe her!

Jennifer has also been working with nutritionist Kelly LeVeque, according to Delish. LeVeque is known for her "Be Well by Kelly Diet," which Jennifer used to prep for her role in the movie Peppermint. She also later told Wired: "I actually have really liked the diet, so I've stuck on it."

Jennifer even shared a smoothie recipe from LeVeque on Instagram, in case you want to try it out yourself:

While she fuels herself with good nutrients, Jennifer is also super open about her sweet tooth, and her love of baking and cooking. Plus, it seems like she's not that restrictive with what she eats.

Now *that's* a diet I can get behind!
