That's how actress Jennifer Garner found the perfect birthday present for her father. As Southern Living notes, the star of 13 Going on 30 recently returned to her hometown of Charleston, West Virginia, to visit family. She attended a nephew's soccer game, went grocery shopping, soaked in all the comforts of home, and relived her childhood. But she also took time to help her father reconnect with his own childhood with a unique and sentimental gift: a ride in the car he grew up with.
"Dad’s early birthday surprise: a ride in his childhood car — [a] 1948 Studebaker Champion," Garner wrote in an Instagram post showcasing her West Virginia excursion. The post also showed her standing with her father and the vintage car.
Garner's father seems touched to see the old vehicle again, which shows that listening can go a long way when finding the perfect gift.
