Jennifer Garner Champions the Winter-Appropriate Miniskirt in Two Preppy Fall Looks

Jennifer Garner embraced the hot librarian trend while out in New York City on Monday morning.

The actor was seen arriving at The View’s studio in a preppy fall ensemble that would make her stylish 13 Going on 30 character proud. The monochrome outfit was composed of different autumnal shades, starting with a cozy, ribbed turtleneck sweater in a light, warm gray, and a thick winter-appropriate miniskirt in stone gray.

Under the skirt, Garner showed off her long legs in transparent black tights by Calzedonia and finished the look with glossy black pointed-toe heels with a golden chain embellishment in the front (a similar style is on sale at Coach).

To match, Garner wore gold jewelry, including small, chunky hoop earrings and some rings. Ever the minimalist, the actor opted for natural makeup, including a glossy pink lip, and a wavy blowout. Finally, she added a pop of color to her look with a bright red manicure.

After her interview, Garner changed into another elegant fall outfit, this time consisting of a ribbed navy mock-neck bodysuit paired with a fuzzy navy scarflike wrap skirt. Over the top and skirt, she layered a long black coat, and she wrapped up the ensemble with thigh-high camel boots with stiletto heels and dangly diamond earrings.

Garner’s appearance on The View comes as she’s getting ready to promote several projects (now that the SAG-AFTRA strike has reached a conclusion). This Thursday, November 30, Family Switch comes out on Netflix—the movie is a Freaky Friday–inspired body-swap family Christmas comedy. And next year, Garner will return to the action-movie scene to reprise her role as super-assassin Elektra, for Deadpool 3.
