Jennifer Connelly Hits the Red Carpet for Rare Appearance With Lookalike Son

The 19-year-old is a spitting image of his mom.

Jennifer Connelly's son Stellan Bettany made a rare public appearance as his mom's date to the 2023 Oscars.

The 19-year-old bares a striking resemblance to his mother, with strong eyebrows, dark hair, and a slender physique.

The teen wore a classic tux, while Connelly opted for a black Louis Vuitton dress, adorned with rhinestones on the chest.

Connelly posted an Instagram reel of the behind-the-scenes of getting ready with her son, captioned "Oscars ready with my dapper date."

This marks the first time since 2016 that Stellan has attended an event with his mom. The last major event he joined Connelly for was a Louis Vuitton fashion show part of Paris Fashion Week.

Though Stellan is rarely seen out, his parents haven't shied away from posting about him on social media.

Dad Paul Bettany has shared plenty of sweet snaps of Stellan on Instagram, including ones of the teen at the beach on Martha's Vineyard. He also shared an old video where he is playfully hitting Stellan's head with an inflatable hammer, then hitting himself.

Connelly also makes reference to Stellan on Instagram often. In one post, she shared a screenshot of a failed FaceTime call attempt with her son. She captioned it, "The downside of raising self-sufficient kids. #missedfacetimes."

She also commemorated his most recent birthday on August 5 with a throwback picture. "Happy 19th birthday, beautiful Stellan. I love you beyond measure," wrote Connelly.

Despite having two famous actor parents, Stellan wants to take a different direction in his career. According to his Instagram bio, Stellan is a classical composer and songwriter, studying at the New England Conservatory.
