Anyone with a Netflix subscription can see Jennifer Aniston right now in her new film, Murder Mystery 2. But people who were in New York City this past weekend could see Aniston out to dinner with friends, including her ex-husband. And unlike on the set of Murder Mystery 2, at this gathering, Aniston actually got a gift.

The Daily Mail is reporting that on Saturday night, Aniston had dinner in NYC with her Horrible Bosses co-star Jason Bateman, actress and producer Amanda Anka, who's married to Bateman and appeared on The Morning Show with Aniston, and actor Justin Theroux, who was married to Aniston from 2015 to 2017.

Theroux also has ties to Bateman, who had a brief cameo in Tropic Thunder, which Theroux co-wrote. In fact, the only two members of this dinner quartet who don't appear to have any shared credits are Theroux and Anka. Though, Anka did have a small part in David Lynch's 1997 Lost Highway, while Theroux, of course, appears in Lynch's 2001 Mulholland Drive. Do you think they talked about that over dinner?

Your guess is as good as ours as to what conversations transpired over dinner that night between any of the attendees, especially between the two exes. Unfortunately, the Daily Mail has no hot gossip on any words exchanged, though considering Aniston and Theroux split amicably and have collaborated together since, it was likely a fine time.

However, here's one intriguing detail: After the dinner, paparazzi spotted Aniston carrying a gifted red rose in one hand—apparently from Theroux. And as we know, when it comes to Theroux, a flower can only mean two things: either it's a sign of affection, or a signifier that he is the Master Codebreaker the Resistance needs to seek out on the casino city of Canto Bight on the planet of Cantonica in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

As for which of the two this particular flower means, we simply can't say.
