Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt Reportedly ‘Have Each Other’s Backs’

Here’s what you really need to know about what went down between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt behind the scenes of that steamy Fast Times at Ridgemont High table read.

According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, Aniston and Pitt—who were married for five years in the early aughts—were reasonably “a little nervous” going into the Zoom charity event. However, that probably has more to do with the public’s continued speculation about their relationship, rather than any personal drama. Remember how folks reacted to this year’s SAG Awards reunion? Or their 2020 Golden Globes moment?

Though the pair coyly greeted each other by their last names during the table read, it was Aniston’s use of the pet name, “honey” that really sent viewers into a tizzy this time around. 

Ultimately the pair “enjoyed themselves,” according to the source. 

“It used to bug them how everyone pulls for them to get back together, but now they laugh it off,” the source continued in a story that was published on September 23. “The truth is they have each other’s backs. They constantly bounce ideas off each other and share happy news when they have it. They have such a natural, easy energy together.”

In fact, the source claims the pair hope to work together again in the near future. “They don’t want to milk this ‘friendly exes’ dynamic they’ve got going on too much,” the source added. “They’re both very mindful of that.”

Comedian Dane Cook, who hosted the  Fast Times table read, also gave a bit of a scoop to Maria Menounos on her podcast Better Together With Maria Menounos on September 21, per per People. According to Cook, once Brad’s team told him which stars were involved, “There was no hesitation, there were no rules, there was no nothing!”

He continued, “I just want people to know, there wasn’t anything like, ‘Were they not allowed…’ No! Zero. No drama.”
