Jenna Ortega Wears Jacket Responding To Melania Trump's "I Really Don’t Care" Jacket

"I do care and u should too."

Melania Trump has a history of being called out for her fashion choices, from the heels she wore for a meeting with Hurricane Harvey first responders in Texas to the $3000 dress she appeared in during her cyberbullying speech at the United Nations General Assembly. The piece she's gotten the most flack for lately, though, is the "I Really Don’t Care. Do U?" jacket she donned on a plane headed to Texas to see detained migrant children.

Melania changed her clothes on the plane, but not before critics had the chance to call her out for the message the Zara jacket was implying about her stance on immigration. News outlets called it "tone-deaf" and "inappropriate." Journalist Liz Plank went as far as to say that the Trump administration had intentionally baited the media so they'd focus on Melania's wardrobe and then could be criticized for doing so.

Jenna Ortega's response, however, came in the form of her own jacket. Against a white and brown background with a spraypaint effect, the piece of clothing reads: "I do care and u should too." She showed off the jacket, paired with plaid pants and tall black boots, at the Radio Disney Music Awards, Just Jared Jr. noted. In case it wasn't clear what she was responding to, she captioned an Instagram photo of herself in the jacket: "Dear @flotus."

Jenna is not the first one to respond to Melania through fashion. Nevada congresswoman Dina Titus responded similarly with a sign on her back reading "I CARE." Titus explained her choice by tweeting, "It is obvious the Trump Admin. doesn't care about putting immigrant children in cages. #ICare."
