Jenna Ortega Updates Menswear in Heeled Oxfords at Thom Browne’s 20th Anniversary Dinner

Jenna Ortega attended an intimate dinner in celebration of Thom Browne’s 20th anniversary held at The Grill in New York on Monday. The dinner also marked the launch of Browne’s first monograph created in collaboration with Phaidon.
For the occasion, the “Wednesday” star laced up a pair of black patent leather oxfords in a platform style from Thom Browne. The dressy style included rounded toes with textural glossy patent leather uppers accompanied by thick and lofty platform soles and thin and tapered stiletto heels that offered the thespian a boost in height.

The neutral style provided Ortega’s looks a preppy touch, further acting to dress up his ensemble. Oxfords are a popular footwear style among both men and women. Ortega’s pair was worn alongside white and black mismatched knee-high socks featuring four-stripe detailing, a signature of Browne’s work.
The “Scream” actress was outfitted in a suit comprised of an array of gray hues and an amalgamation of sequined and distressed squares of fabric. The suiting moment was made up of an oversized structural blazer and coordinating baggy shorts. Ortega’s blazer was layered overtop a crisp white top made to look like a collared top fitted with a faux gray striped tie. The star’s ensemble acted as a playful riff on menswear.
Ortega often elevates herself with height-boosting footwear on and off the red carpet. The “Wednesday” star can regularly be seen on public outings in platform-soled boots and pumps from a range of brands, including Jimmy Choo, Steve Madden and Valentino.
For Thom Browne’s 20th anniversary, the designer created a monograph in collaboration with Phaidon. To celebrate, Browne and the monograph, an intimate dinner was held at The Grill, an American steakhouse, in New York on Oct. 30. Notable attendees at the dinner included Sora Choi, David Harbour, Evan Mock, Rebbeca Hall, Lee Pace and Jenna Ortega among others.
