Undoubtedly one of the most exciting breakout stars of the past few years, the 21-year-old actress Jenna Ortega has been taking the industry by storm ever since her Netflix debut in Tim Burton's hit series Wednesday. And naturally, she has quickly become a fashion world darling to boot.

She's sat front row at the most star-studded shows of Paris Fashion Week, walked the iconic Met Gala red carpet (twice!) and even fronted major advertising campaigns for Adidas and Dior. In short: this gal has insider fashion knowledge well beyond her years – and it shows.

Jenna has nailed everything from ultra-glamorous awards ceremony style to cool off-duty chic, always with her own distinctive flair – and often with a decidedly Wednesday Addams-inspired twist too. But her latest look for last night's Harper's Bazaar Women of The Year Awards at Claridge's in London was a total departure from her usual vibe...

Jenna has officially switched out her signature head-to-toe black, gothic-inspired and often quirky looks in favour of an extremely elegant gold ensemble courtesy of Christian Dior. The star rocked a brilliantly contrasting look from the Parisian brand, pairing a super sexy and sheer floor-length knitted gold gown with what can only be described as a high-fashion version of a carpet coat.

Yep, really. Also designed in a dark golden hue, Jenna's mid-length Dior coat is covered in rich embroidery, giving it a rug-like brocade look. Obsessed? Us too. The star accessorised her outfit with a major diamond choker necklace, rings and an an embroidered white handbag. The whole aesthetic is so ladylike – perfect for a place as smart as Claridge's – while the see-through knitted dress adds a clever nod to the naked dressing trend and keeps the outfit from being too prim and proper. Take notes, ppl!
