Jenna Ortega departed from Wednesday-core and, instead, channeled Old Hollywood glamor on the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet.

The actress arrived at tonight's star-studded ceremony in a sweeping sand-colored evening gown by Gucci featuring a wrapped bodice and sheer pleated floor-length sleeves. The torso of the dress included abdominal cutouts strung together by silver hoops. Ortega upped the ante with her accessories, wearing layers of diamond choker necklaces and a pair of studded earrings. She finished the look off with metallic silver platform heels.

Tonight, Ortega is up for her first-ever Golden Globes nomination in the category of Best Television Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series for her performance as the titular character in Netflix's Wednesday.

Since the show's November 2022 premiere, Wednesday made Netflix history, surpassing Stranger Things 4 to become the English-language TV series with the most hours viewed in a single week, totaling to more than 341 million hours.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Ortega opened up about making the iconic Addams family character her own while acting opposite Cristina Ricci, who played Wednesday in a 1991 adaptation.

"I felt the script was written very reminiscent of her Wednesday, and audiences already know and love Wednesday, [so] I don't think I could have strayed too far with the character," she said. "Otherwise, it would have been a disgrace or offensive or something like that. Also, I really love that iteration and that idea for Wednesday, but then [I was] adding a bit of other qualities and mannerisms or reactions that push the character arc throughout the season."
