It girl Jenna Ortega made her award season debut at the 80th annual Golden Globes awards ceremony on Tuesday, January 10, and she talked all things Wednesday on the red carpet. The 20-year-old was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series thanks to her work on the record-breaking Netflix series, which has instantly become a hit with The Addams Family fans from all walks of life — including pop culture icon, Lady Gaga.

In case you haven't scrolled on your TikTok FYP since the Tim Burton-led series landed on Netflix in November, fans have recreated Wednesday's goth-inspired dance routine to Gaga's 2011 track, "Bloody Mary." The trend took off and earned more than 1.5 billion views across the app. Thanks to the Wednesday hype, Gaga's song ultimately debuted at No. 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart 11 years after its initial release. So, of course, Gaga took advantage of the traction, did the dance herself, and even hosted a "Bloody Mary" giveaway of The Red Vault through her clean beauty brand, Haus Labs.

During a red-carpet interview with Variety at the Golden Globes, Jenna gushed about Gaga's involvement in the beloved trend. The Scream star said it's "really strange" to think about Gaga knowing her work because of a connection she had to the singer.

"A long time ago, I worked with a hairdresser who used to work with her and I had just seen Lady Gaga in concert in Boston a couple of years before and she had made me a video saying, 'Oh, hey, Jenna! I heard you're a fan,' and it was a really, really sweet video," Jenna explained.

"I doubt she even remembers or even knows who I was back then, but to see her do [the dance] now, it was kind of one of those moments where you acknowledge that life changes really, really fast and it's really crazy," she continued.

We all know Gaga has the acting chops to recreate the scene and loves a spooky moment (see: her iconic bloody performance at the 2009 MTV VMAs, her playing the Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel or her scarily accurate depiction of real-life criminal Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci). Jenna herself mused what a Mother Monster cameo would look like in the sophomore season of Wednesday. "If Lady Gaga were to be a part of it, they’d have to be two monsters who understand each other," the actress told Variety, likening it to the dynamic between Wednesday and Nevermore's devious botany professor, Marilyn Thornhill (portrayed by Christina Ricci).

Jenna clarified that she hasn't spoken to Lady Gaga, and is still waiting on the script for season 2. "I have seen nothing and I know nothing. As the actor you’re told what to do. I’m waiting on it! I think they’re just starting to get a writers room together so we’ll see."

Consider this our manifestation and here's to hoping Lady Gaga makes a cameo alongside Jenna in Wednesday season two!
