Jenna Jameson Just Said She's Back On A 16:8 Intermittent Fasting Diet

From Women's Health

Jenna Jameson recently moved from Los Angeles to Hawaii, and she shared in a new Instagram confessional that the transition impacted her famously strict diet.

“Since moving to Hawaii, I’ve stopped #intermittentfasting,” she wrote in a new post, adding that she just “got lazy.” But Jenna said she’s noticed a difference in her well-being since falling off the IF wagon, and she’s not digging it. “I can feel the difference in my mental clarity. Definitely not as sharp and a lot less focused,” she continued. So, she decided to pick it back up again in the past few days.

“It’s definitely hard to jump back on the wagon,” she said. “My stomach rumbles so loud it wakes Batel, but within a few days of fasting 16:8 I’ve noticed a flatter tummy and tighter skin, not to mention better concentration.” So…there’s that.

Jenna said she fasts 6 p.m. until 11 a.m., drinking only water, tea, or black coffee during her fasting hours. Oh, and BTW: Jenna said she still “highly” recommends intermittent fasting.

Jenna started intermittent fasting last summer, and said she did it at the time to break through a weight-loss plateau. It definitely worked: "Holy sh*t...excuse my French. But wow. I can now vouch for #intermittentfasting,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of her scale. "I haven't weighed this little for over 4 years."

ICYMI Jenna lost over 80 pounds using a combination of the keto diet and intermittent fasting over the past year.

Jenna's 16:8 diet is actually pretty legit. Numerous studies have shown that intermittent fasting can be effective for weight loss—though more research still needs to be conducted, Beth Warren, RDN, founder of Beth Warren Nutrition and author of Secrets of a Kosher Girl, previously told Women's Health. “It can help if someone wants to lose weight because oftentimes overeating at night is a big factor in weight gain,” Warren said. “Fasting will take away that obstacle.”
