As revealed by stylist Kristin Ess, Tatum got an "A-line soft shag with bangs" with a "Helena Christensen vibe." Dewan Tatum debuted the look at Variety's Power of Women Luncheon in LA.

But here's the catch: Ess reveals to People, that Dewan Tatum's bangs are actually faux, although they did involve a little bit of cutting. “So, she has wanted a bang forever," Ess said. "I feel like she’s been asking me to make her a fake bang for about two years. We finally did it! [But] once we saw her own hair with a full bang, it just looked too heavy, so we razored it into a soft shag with an A-line base.” Tatum demonstrated the application on her Snapchat.

In terms of styling, Ess says that "product wise, it was prepped with Oribe thickening spray, dried with an Elchim dryer and a Spornette porcupine round brush, then very loosely bent with the 1 1/4-in. Marcel iron,” and finished with a curling cream that's not quite ready for the public yet.
