Jenna Dewan has made her first statement since she and Channing Tatum announced their separation late Monday to put an end to one report going around that Tatum's excessive drinking and extramarital flirting caused their split. "Happy to clarify that absolutely none of these rumors are true," a rep for Dewan told Daily Mail. "The reason our statement was so positive [was] because that’s the reality of the situation."

The initial false report came from The Mirror, which claimed "sources close to the Hollywood couple" believed Tatum's "drinking and partying ways drove a wedge into their nine-year marriage." It cited a 2014 quote from Tatum, where he told GQ, "I probably drink too much, you know. My wife, that’s what she bought into.… I’m probably a pretty high-functioning, I guess, you know, I would say, alcoholic, I guess."

The Mirror also cited a 2015 report from Star about Tatum's "flirtatious behavior with other women while he was filming Foxcatcher" as being a contributor to the couple's problems.

Dewan's remark shuts this down and points back to the official statement the two gave explaining their split. They wrote:

"We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love each other, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision-just two best friends realizing it's time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents to Everly. We won't be commenting beyond this, and we thank you in advance for respecting our family's privacy."

Of course, every reputable tabloid has published intel from sources "close to the two" on why they split, too.
