Jenna Dewan Is Officially No Longer Wearing Her Wedding Ring
Though it was amicable, we would be lying if we said that Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum's split statement didn't break us. And, now, fresh from the news of their breakup, the Step Up actress has taken the couple's separation one step further.
On Saturday, Dewan slipped off her wedding ring for a day of shopping in Los Angeles's Chinatown. The accessory was noticeably missing from the mom of one's left hand. To offset her newly-bare finger, Dewan paired her denim dress with a silver pendant necklace and aviator sunnies. She left her bouncy waves down, skimming her shoulders.
Dewan was last spotted sporting her wedding band at a morning yoga class in Studio City, Calif. last week, hours before the heartbreaking announcement. The next day, it was unclear if the 37-year-old wore the diamond sparkler to a SoulCycle workout.
This new normal has been difficult for fans to accept, but, according to sources, the couple had been struggling long before they called it quits. "This has been a long time coming,” an insider told People. “Like any marriage, they’ve had their ups and downs over the years but they really started to grow apart within the last year.”
And, while it may only be a piece of jewelry, its removal is symbolic, with Jenna seemingly ready to move on post-split.
