Jenna Bush Hager Made A Surprise Return To 'Today,' Just In Time For Halloween

It was all treats and no tricks when Jenna Bush Hager returned to Today from maternity leave for an extra special Halloween episode. She joined the entire cast of Today and helped recreate what they deemed the most iconic dances.

Each Today star transformed into their characters and performed the dances, including routines from Footloose, Janet Jackson, and Grease. Jenna dressed up as Frances "Baby" Houseman alongside co-star Willie Geist as dance instructor Johnny Castle. They looked just like the on-screen Dirty Dancing duo.

As soon as "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" started playing over the speakers, Jenna and Willie popped out. They re-enacted the Dirty Dancing’s most memorable moment, exaggerating the steamy dance moves and twirling on stage. Of course, they couldn't leave out that lift (you know the one). Jenna ran forward... and the camera cut to Willie hoisting a dummy wearing an identical pink dress.

Well played, Today. That move is no joke and takes a lot of practice to perfect, so it's totally fair they went the safer route. After all, nobody wants to see their fave hosts in danger of falling, especially not Jenna, who gave birth to her third child, Henry Harold Hager, on August 2.

This isn't the end of Jenna's maternity leave, but she will be back soon. The mom of three is spending time with her family before she returns to work. "I am just laying here with this little precious being," she shared during the call, referring to Henry. "He is the sweetest, easiest baby, and I think it’s just God knowing if he gave me more than I could handle I couldn’t handle it, you know what I mean?" Jenna announced that she'll be back in the studio by December.

Until then, it looks like everyone is having the time of their lives.
