How Jenna Bush Hager Is Honoring Hoda Kotb During Her Time Away From 'Today'

Jenna Bush Hager won't get to celebrate her TODAY co-host Hoda Kotb's 59th birthday on air with her friend, but she still made sure to show her love.

In an Instagram post from Monday, Aug. 7, Kotb shared that Hager surprised her by footing the bill for her dinner with family. The TV personality took a selfie smiling, while gathered with her loved ones—including her brother Adel, sister Hala, and daughters Haley and Hope—at a restaurant.

She captioned it, "@jennabhager thx for the delicious pre-bday meal! My family loved it— and YOU!!"

Hager appeared in the comments, responding, "I love you! Happiest bday! ❤️."

The TODAY show's fashion editor Bobbie Thomas also commented, writing, "❤️❤️ happy birthday 🎈."

Fans made sure to join in on the early birthday wishes.

Someone shared that they're celebrating by eating Kotb's favorite snack: "Have a blessed day Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊. I'm having your favorite snack. Ritz crackers with melted cheese 🧀 😋 yummy."

Besides having a family dinner during her birthday week, Kotb is also treating herself by taking the whole week off from the TODAY show. On Monday, Aug. 7, Savannah Guthrie announced on air that Kotb is using her break to spend some quality time with her family.
