While discussing highlights from the recent awards show on the January 8th episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, the co-host duo couldn't help but comment on the blossoming couple's headline-grabbing displays of affection.

Soon after the Globes, Gomez, 31, shared several snaps of her locking lips and embracing her new boyfriend, music producer Blanco, 35, on Instagram. The next day, Kotb, 59, and Bush Hager, 42, pulled up one of the pics and reacted to it on-air, with it being displayed on a screen behind them.

"So, here, let’s look at the first one, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco," Kotb said before adding: "It looks like they’re in a closet of some sort, doesn’t it? What are those boxes?"

Bush Hager then replied: "Definitely backstage or, like, at a FedEx store." Kotb then laughed and noted that she thought the photo showed a "good smooch." She then reacted to Gomez's caption about her relationship with Blanco, which read: "I won."

As for the photo in question, Gomez is seen sporting a silky ruby red Giorgio Armani gown with flirty cutouts as she embraces Blanco's neck in an impassioned kiss. In the background, there is an array of cardboard boxes and paper bags, lending a sense of spontaneity and adventure to the moment.

Gomez was nominated for the 'Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy' Golden Globe award at the ceremony for her performance as Mabel Mora on the hit Hulu series, Only Murders in the Building. While she didn't take home the trophy (it went to Ayo Edebiri from The Bear), Gomez seemed to playfully note that she "won" regarding Blanco in the post for her 429 million followers.

The arrival time of Blanco to cheer on Gomez is uncertain as she made her way down the red carpet alone. Gomez recently wowed fans after revealing that she has been seeing Blanco for the past six months.
